FAQ

Frequently asked questions

If you’re comparing Ludoria against other tools for pre-production, these answers summarize the core differences and how Pro works.

What is Ludoria?

Ludoria is a browser-based game design document (GDD) tool for indie developers. It connects flow, mechanics, entities, art assets, tasks, and sketch in one workspace.

Is Ludoria free?

Yes. The free tier includes Flow and one project so you can test the workflow. Pro unlocks the other views, more projects, and AI-assisted GDD export.

How is Ludoria different from Notion + Miro + Trello?

Instead of syncing multiple tools manually, Ludoria links the views inside a single project model. Your decisions in Flow can stay connected to mechanics, entities, assets, and tasks.

What is “Flow” in Ludoria?

Flow is the node-based narrative / loop editor. It helps you design how your game progresses, including connections and groups for large structures.

Can Ludoria export or generate a GDD?

Pro includes AI-assisted GDD generation/export based on your workspace content (nodes, mechanics, entities, art references).

Is collaboration available?

Real-time collaboration is planned for Pro (Q3 2026). Until then, you can still organize your project and export documentation.

Is Ludoria desktop-only?

Ludoria is designed desktop-first. The UI can be used on smaller screens, but it’s optimized for larger displays and workflows.

How do I upgrade to Pro?

Start with Flow on the free tier, then upgrade from the Pro upsell path in the app. You’ll return after checkout and Pro activates automatically.
